Felons can't vote but they pay taxes. Children under 18 can't vote but they pay taxes. Pedophiles pay taxes and they are not "supported" by anybody. What is you point? I get it, if you don't get your way on everything you should not have to pay taxes. That would work really well. Next time you drive down a highway paid for with federal taxes you can thank the tax paying homosexuals if it would make you feel better.

Everyone pays taxes, without fear or favor from the IRS. Quite right too. There still is a marriage penalty. If you have two wage earners in a household earning full-time wages, a married couple will pay more than two people treated as single. So homosexuals actually benefit under the tax code.

Incidentally, as a recent (legal) immigrant, I was not allowed to receive any benefits from the federal government until I had been here three years. I still had to pay taxes. The government didn't support me so does that mean that I shouldn't have paid taxes in that time?

I see the point you are trying to make but you picked a very poor subject on which to base it.

Yep. Women and children do too. It seems the IRS may be the only truly equal opportunity entity out there.

And to say that just because they can't legally marry, that they are treated as second-class citizens and shouldn't have to pay taxes, is really pretty ridiculous. Who you are attracted to has nothing to do with your income. In fact, until recently, there was a marriage penalty built into the tax code. So for many, many years, homosexuals were actually at an advantage tax-wise. We straight people fought for decades to get back to equality.

The primary duty of the federal government was to provide for the common defense. Today, providing retirement income and senior health benefits take up as much or more of the federal budget. Gay persons are not discriminated against in receiving protection from foreign invaders or in receiving social security retirement or medicare benefits. Since gays receive the principal services provided by the tax revenues collected from the income tax, there appears to be no valid reason not to pay their fair share.

LOL!!!!!

Of course homosexuals pay taxes. Anyone who resides in the United States of America has to pay income taxes to the Federal Government and state/local taxes to their states/municipalities.

These local taxes may be in the form of either a sales tax, income tax or a tax on property.

"If one volatile determination of habit that cost tax money is undesirable, why isn't the different?" yet is homosexuality a "determination", that easily hasn't been widely used, homosexuality is probable no better a call than heterosexuality is maximum people of the time

I can't adopt children in this country, I can't marry the person I'm committed to, and I can't serve my country in the armed forces. But I still have to pay for you breeders to send your kids to public school. I wonder if slaves had to pay taxes as well... or if the Jews funded Hitler's army.

As far as I know, the only people who don't "pay taxes" are the illegals that are in the US.
