My bf and I have been together for 3 years. I'm 23 and he's 32. When we first met I was going to clubs/parties 3 weekends out the month. As our relationship gets stronger I go less, for the past year I probably go out once sometimes twice a month. He wants me to stop going period, whether it's just because or a friend/family member birthday. I tell him that I don't give out my number or hook up with anyone when I do go and he says he believes and trusts me, but doesnt want me in that atmosphere anymore. I've invited him to go out with us but he doesnt want to. He doesnt go to clubs and parties. We love each other very much. Should I stop going out because he doesnt want me to?

Young and Vibrant, only last so long. Do your thing, that keeps you alive. There's nothing wrong with going out dancing with family and friends. When two people get together, it shouldn't be where you dictate to one another. The age difference maybe, one of your issues. He has been there done that, 23 it's your stage to go through. LOVE does not trainee you, it sustains you, when no one else will. All we can do is truly LIVE for ourselves. Share Great Times with the ones who really LOVE You being You!

ah NO, you should do what you want to do you are only 23 years old and you have a long life to live have fun go to the club with your girlfriends and enjoy them.
now i know when he met you, you was going to the club so why is it such a problem now when before he didnt care? guys do that. they act a certain way to try and get you then when they got you they really show their true colors. talk to him ask him why is it a problem now or has it always been a problem but he waited until you guys got serious to basically force you to stop doing it. he shouldnt have hooked up with you in the first place. that's real petty and he's too old for that

If the clubs are fun and you enjoy going, you have to decide what's more important to you. Doing what he tells you, or doing what you enjoy. Clubbing once a month, at 23 years old, sounds more than reasonable. He should be willing to either go with you, or let you enjoy it on your own. You can compromise, but so should he.

Independence is not your to give or take away so don't let anyone, even the person you love define "your" independence.
Since he refuses to go, then he needs to come up with something better for you guys to do and you cooking dinner while he watch's the football game is not better. Otherwise, have fun and fix his anger in the bed once you get home.

O.k. if he REALLY loved you then he wouldn't want to make you change your ways..I mean he knew your ways before you guys dated, AND you have ALREADY changed for him by cutting back on your outtings! So what is his deal, have you made HIM stop something alltogether??? REALLY THINK ABOUT THIS and where the realtionship will go if you don't make the changes. Best of luck!

he doesnt even want to you to go to family get togethers and bday parties, he sounds pretty controlling/ you might want to talk to him abt that before it gets out of hand, and no if going out is something you like to do and your not doing anything that you would regret, dont let him stop you

How important is this guy to you over going to clubs.....me personally i would want to go out dancing every once inawhile its fun but if it really bothers him and could wreck your relationship with him i'd say don't chance it...
