We see one sun. It rises everywhere in the East and sets in the West. It doesn't matter where you are, it always rises in the East.

The solar rises from the east. until eventually you % to flow to East l. a., no place. The "marine layer" ruins a stunning break of day. try a sunset at Venice, Playa del Rey, or any of the coastline cities. there's no longer something like seeing the solar plunk into the sea.

East... just like it does everywhere else. The only unique thing (if you happen to live on an east coast) is that it rises over land, and sets to the sea.
