Beautiful. Without God there is no morality. There is just instinct and animal action. The reason it isn't wrong when one animal kills another is that they are just acting out of instinct. If we are just animals (and that is the position of atheists -- albeit higher developed animals) then there should be no moral right nor wrong when one human attacks, kills, or in some way mistreats another human. We are just acting out of instinct.
The story is told of a life long atheist who late in life became a theist because his daughter had been murdered. He could no longer justify his position and view the murderer through non judgmental eyes. He finally understood that the very real emotions of anger he held toward the murderer all came from a basic position of morality that necessitated the presence of a God who in His authority made all the rules of right and wrong.

Again... for the hundred time on YA... killing is wrong because everyone has to live in this world together and it's much nicer to live in a world where everyone isn't stabbing everyone else in the back every chance they get.
Now, it's not a baby until it's born. Until it can survive without being attached to the mother with technological help, it's a fetus. And nothing more than a parasite at that.
As well, I'd have to say that given many of the posts I see on these forums, I'm probably more educated than many people here. As for "more moral", that remains to be seen. I don't think anyone has the monopoly on "moral" behavior, religious or secular. Both are as capable of "immoral" behavior as anyone else.

no you don't have to believe in God to think killing unborn babies is immoral. i mean our law system (U.S.) punishes murders, so that's the same as killing unborn babies... killing people is killing people, not matter which way you look at it, and if you are smart enough to know that then you should be applauded for your awesome character and keen sense of right and wrong and i hope that there are more people like you in the world.

No. You can distinguish between good and bad without any knowledge or belief in god. Some believers in god are evil. Think of all the Catholic priests who have been child molesters and other evangelicals who have had sex outside their marriage. They had done bad things although they believe in god.
You do not need god to know that killing is a bad thing, that stealing is a bad thing, that abortion is a bad thing.

through definition a collection of cells (the first tri-mester, the position maximum people of abortions ensue), that would't sense discomfort, isn't slightly one. a woman, or a pair in a large number of situations, who made a enormous mistake (maximum women people do not have any better than one abortion), forced to placed her body through the actual and emotional lines of perplexing artwork till now she is waiting, now that would damage a existence.. though that's not continuously a mistake: delivery-administration fails, women people are raped, might want to we set up a court to judge if a woman has a strong sufficient reason to make the very perplexing determination to have an abortion? convince a panel of jurors? the aspect i hit upon humorous is that those hostile to abortion are oftentimes hostile to sexual practise. fairly a humorous courting there. We do, notwithstanding, have lots of our babies starting to be up in lower than poverty aspect, regularly abusive circumstances, raised through people must have by no skill been allowed to have babies. unusual how we do not see better efforts going into assisting those babies. do not hardship about those babies gotta supply that 10% to the church.

It's so easy for everyone who has already been born and has left thier mother's womb before some selfish cold blood person got the idea to kill them, to be able to decide who gets to live and who gets to die. It's so easy for the already born to decide who should live and who should die before they take their first breath of air. What a selfish self absorbed evil world we now live in. Jesus cannot come back for his church fast enough for me.
Everyone of those babies that were murderded in the womb of their mothers will have their vengance by the hand of God. He wont' show any more mercy for those cold blooded murders, then they did for those innocent unborn babies. I wonder how ten fold trikes them?

In the bible, the book of Romans the answer to this can be found in the first two chapters.
No, you do not need to believe in your creator to have basic knowledge of right and wrong. This was given to all at the disobedience of Adam and Eve.
The book of Romans explains how a person is created by God with a modicum (little bit) of faith in his or her creator. It also tells that God gave us inate knowledge of his will and way.
It is only after we reject this inate knowledge of our creator that God "gives us over" to our own thoughts and desires and our darkened and depraved hearts.

Well I'm not religious in any way and I most certainly think abortion is immoral. Why do I think it's wrong, you ask.....let's see, it's murder. Abortion is ending the life of a helpless baby, a baby who did nothing to deserve to die.

Society as a whole sees killing as wrong...and yes it is true because the more you know about the world and people around you (well if you really pay attention anyway), the more you understand them and see yourself in them whether you're willing to admit it or not. There fore it makes it harder to committ such horrible crimes against them

Umm...
Being religious has no effect whatsoever on your morals.
It is how you are brought up, by your parents or your guardians.
I am an atheist, and I can safely say that I have better morals than some religious people I know.
