This is stupid. Theoretically, you can do it without hurting yourself, but why would you even try? Your moment of glory will last about 5 minutes before the people at the party start talking about something else. Conversely, burn scars on your face will last years and potentially lead to debilitating neurosis (seriously, I know someone with facial burn scars). When you look at the risk, the reward is not worth it.

No, but I've seen someone do it before. The higher content liqours are flammable (in this case it was bacardi rum 151 proof) People were doing shots and downing them with them lit. There was one lady, who paused when she downed the shot, and some got on her lips and cheeks, we could see it still burning and the lady had red marks (2nd degree burn) the next day.
So, to answer your question - no, and no.

You blow them out first...however, a word of advice...the types of alcohol that flame have a very high alcohol content and are really only meant to be put on the top of a shot...just enough to get them to flame. I learned this the hard way taking multiple straight shots of Everclear prom night a few years ago. I honestly should have probably been dead with how much I consumed and believe me it was not worth it...

One night i took a fire shot of bacardi 151. When your swallowing the shot it will go out immediatley because there is no oxygen when your mouth is closed. I used to be scared too but I was so drunk at the time I just did it anyway.

one famous flaming drink is called a flaming DR.pepper. fill a beer mug up half way and fill a shot glass with 3/4 amaretto and top off the rest with 151 rum. light the shot and drop in mug and chug. it tastes like a flat DR.pepper. The beer in mug will put flame out.

You are supposed to blow it out first and drink it hot. The hot liquor may still sear your taste buds but the drinking it hot is supposed to make the liquor hit you faster. BTW this is false cooking alcohol reduces the alcoholic content.

I have seen people take a shot that was on fire and they were Ok but it has to happen fast otherwise you will burn your nose or set you mustache or beard on fire.

Yes. I took it through a straw. Just drink it really fast and the fire goes out on its own.

BLOW IT OUT FIRST! I singed off my eyebrows in college trying to drink one that was still lit. It wasn't pretty.
