I AM LOOKING FOR WELL PRICED STAINLESS STEEL PANS, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THERE IS A PARTICULAR GAGE OR THICKNESS OR WHAT EVER I SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR. I KNOW IF THE PANS ARE CHEAP AND THIN THEY CAN WARP OR BURN FOOD WHEN USED OVER A CERTAIN TEMP...AND I DON'T WANT ANYTHING WITH TEFFELON BECAUSE THAT STUFF IS BAD FOR YOU...ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I would go to the local Macy's or Williams Sonoma, depending on how much you have to spend. All-Clad is great, I have a few pieces of it and love it. Also try Caphalon, although I am not sure if they do stainless or not. I do have some of their non stick products and they are great. Face it, everything is killing us, I use non stick all of the time. That has a good of chance of killing me as getting hit by a truck, so go for it.

My family & I own & operate a bakery and we use RevereWare. Its good-quality & it wears well / lasts really well. I've been nothing but happy with their products. I haven't used their skillets tho, I just haven't tried them.
Also, if you don't want Teflon - good old fashioned cast iron is a great choice - I use cast iron skillets all the time - they're all I use.
Happy hunting

The Farberware - Classic Series - (on this site: http://www.farberwarecookware.com/ ) is fantastic.

I've been using these pots 'forever'. They cook (and look) great!
I recommend them to you wholeheartedly.

Enjoy!

I just noticed that Amazon.com sells them at amazing prices: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/574596?tag2=farberwareckw-20

Hope that helps!
