A dog chewing up its toys is normal. But if the dog moves on to other things - like the couch - then you have to put a s top to it.
Have you caught her chewing on the couch pillows? If you do catch her, say, "NO!" as loud as you can, then immediately take the cushion away from her and give her the stuffed toy. Soon she will learn that de-stuffing the toy is ok, but de-stuffing the couch is a BIG no-no.

My dogs like to "de-stuff" their toys but they were taught that their toys were the only things he could chew on. Try getting her a kong or a dumb-bell made of rubber. My dogs really liked those and they aren't easy to break as well as having a different texture so they knows the difference between their toys and the other things they can't chew on. Good luck!

Look if it is not a problem to you then whats the matter? My dogs have their toys and you did say they are 'her' toys, they car not yours. My dogs also get it wrong from time to time but I have made allowances for the fact the I first let them destroy their own toys. I just take the cushion away from them and replace if with one of their own. Its water off a ducks back to me. Be patient and be tolerant of what you have started, and you will all get along just fine. I see some kids getting away with murder these days, cursing and swearing at their parents, telling them where to get off etc...give me the dog with the toy any day.

My first thought when I saw your question was.....better that than the furniture! Then I read on. Oh my. No, I dont think letting her destroy her toys is bad. It just takes teaching her that, its her toys she ALLOWED to destroy. Thats why she gets the toys. The furniture....thats your toy(so to speak). Training and patience (maybe a little money for new stuff along the way) will pay off in the down the road a bit.. Good luck to you and your pet.

this is unquestionably an quite undesirable habit and must be doubtlessly risky. different than for the obtrusive of conserving the toys out of attain. i does no longer enable her into your son's room or play area. a sturdy organization "NO" or "launch" and changing it along with her toys isn't rewarding her its telling her what's suitable. it would be greater suitable in case you quit her until eventually now the toy is in her mouth. Step in between the canines and toy and hand her a suitable toy. you will must be diligent until eventually she accepts the certainty that those are not hers. because of the fact i don't have youngsters those are the flaws that i might do yet i visit celeb it so perhaps you will get greater solutions As for the bitter apple---i might call the quantity on the bottle and ask them

It's best not to let your dog chew anything like that. It could become hard for her to understand what's allowed to be chewed and what's not. Not to mention the cost of replacing the toys all the time.
Also I'd recomend getting one of those Kong chew toys. They're almost indestructable.

Its ok to let her destroy her toys as long as she knows ONLY HER toys can be destroyed. I've had that problem with the Greyhound I've adopted. I LOVES to destroy his stuff, but thinks my stuff in ok too. So I have to let him know that its not ok to attack MY stuff ;D
My friend has a Shepard Mix that ONLY destroys his toys and has for the past 7years. So as long as you establish her toys are good and your stuff is bad, you should be ok.

My dog does the same thing with her toys. She hasn't really tried with anything else. But if she is moving on to other things, then you have to stop her. She shouldn't become destructive.

My dog pulls at her toys but I don't let her destuff at all. When I got her I was her 7th home and on her way to be put to sleep at 9 months old. I will play tuggie with her but when she decides to rip them apart I take it away for a while. It worked with mine. good Luck
