We've known each other form 3rd grade we've always been friends and then he asked me out and I was so happy. But know a year later things are so bad. He tells me he hates me he says that He wishes i would die sometimes he hits me. All I can do is love him though. Why?

IF HE IS TELLING YOU HE WANTS YOU DEAD AND HATES YOU AND HITS YOU SOON HE MIGHT GET EVEN MORE OUT OF HAND!!!! GET URSELF OUT OF THERE!!! GO TO A FRIENDS HOUSE THAT HE DOESN´T KNOW FAR FROM YOUR HOUSE AND NEAR PUBLIC...MAYBE EVEN GO INTO A CROWDED PLACE AND USE A PAYBOOTH OR CALL ON YOUR CELL...GO INTO A RESTAURANT OR SOMEWHERE WITH LOTS OF PEOPLE AND CALL THE POLICE!!! it sounds like you're in love with being in love. don't let an ideal take over your life. you deserve Someone so much better than a guy who hits you, says he hates you, etc. People change, and it looks like he has, too. It's important to move on. Remember the good things, but don't subject yourself to pain because of however good the past might have been. It is neither safe nor healthy to stay. You can never talk a guy into loving you. It has to just happen. Persuasion will not lead to anything real. Real love wants the best for the other person, trusts, protects, and is selfless. This guy has none of these towards you.

Girl, he is abusing you mentally and verbally. Your sooo much better than him. No woman should put up with that bullshit. If he loved you he wouldn't treat you this way. With time you'll get over the feelings you have for him, and find a true great guy. There are so many fish in the ocean.

Listen, I know how it feels to love someone and them not love you back. It sucks. You just have to move on. And if that sorry bastard hits you, pop him right in the balls. That isn't right. He doesn't deserve you. There are plenty of guys out there who are jerks, but there are a few of us worth having. Try to find one of those.

If possible, you should move out of state so you wont have to edure him again. Love hurts. It's part of life: you thnk you found the right guy and then BOOM, he drops you like a fly. Restart your life over again if possible. I know someone like you and she is going thorugh a tough time too. Just drop him out of your head and have fun. try a new hobby.

You're sprung honey and you don't need to be. You're in a verbally and physically abusive relationship and need to get out immediately before he kills you. HE DOES NOT LOVE YOU! No matter what he says.
But to answer your question, you love him b/c of this image you've had in your head and the fact that he's probably your first love. You might think this is love, but what he's doing to you is not love. You need to talk to your parents, or close friends and tell them what's going on so they can help you get through this.
PLEASE PLEASE be careful and get out while you still can.

If no/any reason it happened - just forget about him. Like he never ever exist or was part of your life. Think, what kind of love is it, Love is about to be loved not hit,kick or abuse. Get the point, please.

because he's a stupid ass. or maybe you are. or maybe you just aren't compatable together. you can't force a relationship to work, they just do or they don't. and him hitting you is a good sign that it isn't going to work out...no matter what!
