I saw this pick up advice happen on tv(which obviously makes it unlikely). And also from you girls point of view if this is bad advice maybe you could give better. Well the guy complimented the girls shoes, he introduced himself then walked off. So it left the girl puzzled, thinking if the guy was hitting on her. But it didnt make it obvious so, she ended up giving him her phone #.

I don't see why she'd give him her phone number for getting a compliment on her shoes...... So, I'd say no.. this is a bad pick-up. I can't give advice on how to pick up someone because I'm a girl and I just don't do that kinda stuff. :P
If that was the case and I gave out numbers to everyone who complimented me, my number would be famous. LOL.

UH, no, I wouldn't give a random guy my # if he complimented my shoes. I'd think he's either gay or just plain weird.

If she likes him she'll give him the number but if not, then she'll just be like okay weirdo! And leave her thinking you liked her.
