Me & my new Army husband were assigned to Alaska @ Fort Wainwright to serve the military.Due to my medical condition I cannot live in the freezin cold weather. We are currently eligable for a compassionate reassignment & can choose any other US Army fort. This has proven to be a very difficult decision. Alaska doesn't deploy again till 2008. I want to move our family to a location with a similar deployment status (& fairly warm weather) so I can settle in before he has to go. It is also important to be a good non-ghetto area. I have 2 girls one 12 & the other 15. Please help!! Thank you.

you can't. besides, that status changes daily, and just because you get sent to a base that isn't due up doesn't mean he won;t get sent IA.

and do NOT go to Ft Drum. Just as cold as Alaska. and less pretty in the summer.

If you are on EFMP

Ok..first thing is that since 9/11, all US military has benn a bit less open about schedules, deployment, and where assets may be, so it well might be he may need to put in for particulars to the btn. level on this.
Might I suggest Ft. Drum, NY. Its very nice country, and the 10th mtn has hundreds of MoS options.

a million) regularly rapid deployment instruments are ones that are indoors of a different time-physique from deploying. as an party she ought to get sent to ft. Hood or ft. Benning yet no longer be placed in a rapid deployment unit. This have been given right here approximately to me. the 1st Brigade on the post i grew to grow to be sent to grew to grow to be rapid deployment yet I somewhat have been given sent to 2nd Brigade. 2) Hunter militia Airfield in Savannah, GA does no longer be undesirable for that different activity.

Actually if you received this information from any base, that base would be handing oput classified information. Deployment orders and how many and when are classified when put together. If they tell you, please let the authorities know.
