im am 16 yrs old and love acting. i am currently doing my gcses but would like to persuie a career in acting. i dont know which school i should go to or what course is best for me. i live in east london. any help

Audition for your High School plays, look in the newspapers, I'm sure you'll find some open call auditions- which means you don't need to be in an union or to have an agent- if not, be creative and gather your own group of friends and put up a play, and ask your teacher's permission to perform it at the school auditorium or in the quad during breaks. Reading about acting also helps. Take workshops at Professional Conservatoires like central School of Speech and Drama, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, GSA Conservatoire (Guildford), etc. After you finish High School, audition for any of the Conservatoires accredited by the National Council for Drama Training. Admission is tough, but that's why you need to be preparing for it from now. It's true that you don't need to train at a professional school to make it as an actor, but doing it, gives you a far better chance.
