Every Christian I've known has been a hypocrit.

because of the discrepancy in Christianity between perceived sin and forgiveness.
EVERYONE sins none are pure
Matthew 19:17-19
"Why do you ask me what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."
"Which ones?" the man inquired.
Jesus replied," ' Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother' and 'love your neighbor as yourself.' "
Romans 13:9b-10
"...whatever other commandments there may be, are summed up in this one rule: Love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fullfilment of the law."
his behavior-cheating on his spouse is ungodly-but it is irrelevant to me if he cheated with a man or a woman.
Christianity's ability to pick and choose from the Bible what is a sin and what isn't is ridiculous.
Luke 6:37, 41-42
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven....Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attentionto the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Brother let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
Luke 12:57
"Why don't you judge for yourselves what is right?"
Romans 2:1-4
"You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgement on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgement do the same things. Now we knowthat God's judgement against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgement on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgement? Or do you show conempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?"
Romans 10:4
"Christ is the end of the law so that their might be righteousness for EVERYONE who believes."

I think we should thank him for the total opposite, Christians do have truth, because he is a Christian does not mean he is perfect and does not sin, it means means that he believes that he is a sinner not worthy of Gods Grace and deserves death, but God loves us so much he sent his son to pay that price for us and forgives us and gives us eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ

Follow Christ (who was/is sinless and died for OUR sins) not a mere mortal man. Unbelievers are having a field day with this story but the true born again Christian will not be swayed ONE BIT by a fallen man. If Ted repents to the Lord and asks forgiveness, he WILL be forgiven. If people won't forgive him, it doesn't matter ONE BIT as far as his eternal destiny is concerned.

I didn't realize Ted was representative of all Christians. To be honest, I didn't even know who he was until this thing came out.
He does not speak for me. I am a Christian. I serve God, and Jesus Christ, not Ted Haggart.

If having truth - about anything - means universal adherence to that truth, then no-one has truth about anything. Having access to the truth and living by it are two different things.

we have gotten in to a society where people worship the messenger rather than the person that sends the message. which is sick. At my mother's church everyone talks about how wonderful the pastor is but earlier in life he was a fighter piolet in vietnam dropping napalm on innocent ppl. yeah thats a good man. but dont make gross generalizations.

"They believed Ted" I didn't even know who the guy was until his mess hit the news. By the way, I follow God NOT man.

I'm sorry but I never nominated Ted to be my representative. America is not the centre of the earth.
My rep is Christ, he's the one I believed.

The only thing Ted Haggard proved is that he is human, and therefore prone to sin.

yes we should thank him for pointing out what most non evangelicals already know.
what is funny to me is if homosexuality is a choice, which evangelicals believe, why did ted choose to ruin his life?
unless of course, he was born with an attraction to men that even belief could not stop.
