Time and self love. A broken heart needs time to heal but there are things you can do to make yourself feel better during the healing process. First, you should start doing things for yourself. You have to learn to be independent and free. The most important thing in life is self-love because without self-love you're unable to love anyone else. You have to care about yourself before you can care for others.
Also, you should remember that it's okay to need a friend. You should start hanging out with friends more, going out to parties, clubs, the movies, etc and just having a great time with great people.
You have to see pass the past and move on. The only way you can move on is by doing something about it; getting up and going to do activities will make you feel better about yourself. Sulking around being depressed will only cause further problems for the future.

Time. You've heard it a thousand times, but it's true. Time heals all wounds and hopefully wounds all heels.
The best thing to do is be very gentle with yourself and very selfish. Meaning, now is the time to find out what makes you happy and what you like to do. Staying busy is very therapeutic. Also going to spas and the gym is a good outlet. Exercising and staying active wards off depression. Stay away from the junk food binge thing; it only encourages self pity. Socialize, plan a trip; but don't go looking for someone else just to fill a void. Give your heart time. You will know when you are ready to meet someone new.

This is probably the most asked question on this site. I've asked it myself. The truth is, there is no pill you can take...no exercises you can do...no surgery can be done to fix a broken heart. Time, patience, and acceptance are the only solutions. It won't be easy and it won't be fun, but it will be okay. And when the pain stops, you will find a great guy who will finish putting the pieces back together.

Get angry instead of sad. Then exercise to release the anger. Get a hobby that's time consuming and uses a lot of energy. Last go on a few dates.

i found out that you can fall back on your best friends. not just regualr ones, the ones that have been there through it ALL. that plus time, and gradually getting back out and eventually dating again.
sad enough to say, if it was REALLY that big of a heartbreak, even if you see him years from now, its still guna hurt in some way. TRUST ME. cant explain why, but it just will.

Time heals all wounds ... What you need to do first is have a good cry if necessary. Let the sadness, hurt or anger all out, then pick your favorite thing to do and have a blast doing it.
