Im a mother of 2 and they are both girls. 1 is 3 and 1 is 7. Zoey is 3 and Elsie is 7. My husband is still with me but how i would do it, and tell her the truth. Its better than telling her when she is 17 and hates you forever since you would lie to her. Go with the flow, she has to know sometime. Especially before you get re-married to another guy.

Well, unless the guy is a complete idiot, he should understand she is too young for the whole story. Take her to the park and have him meet y'all and tell her he is a special person you want her to get to know. Let her ask the questions and let her drive the meeting. This will not be a one time thing. It may take months till she gets to who he really is.

Take it slow. Above all, no matter what, kids cannot have too many people who love them.

Tell her that the man she has been calling "daddy" isn't really her daddy. If she doesn't start crying at that point then go on with the story.
Sad start to a little girl's life. Tell the truth from now on. There was no reason for her to be calling your boyfriend "daddy'. You should have at least waited until you two were married. Yikes!

Introduce your daughter as, "This is our daughter". She will be his stepdaughter after you are married. Don't bother to explain unless someone actually brings up the question or something.
Most people won't ask but for the ones that do, just explain that she is your husband's stepdaughter. Hope this helps. Good luck to you in your new marriage.
