When they have finished loosing all their bqby teeth! They may be 12 to 14 then, but so what! It is fun, cheap, promotes closeness...they figure out it is you, but don't worry. Even when the dentist had to remove teeth so braces could be put on, we would bring them home to put under the pillow. Childhood is soooo short...when they are teenagers you will long for the days of the Tooth Fairy! And if the tooth gets lost (or swallowed!),it is ok to leave the Tooth Fairy a note!

Well when our son was 10 he came right out & asked about the tooth fairy. Of course we told him the truth. That didn't mean that the money stopped. He was actually looking forward to it. We stopped the tooth fairy when he lost his last baby tooth.

When I was little, it was when I turned 10.

I'll probably stop about the same time with my son. Luckily he's only 2 (almost 3) and has all his teeth even though one's chipped badly.

I'd say when they're about 7 or 8 but it just depends on when your child matures a bit. Still give them some money, just give it to them straight.

When they stop believing is usually the right age. Then if they are still interested in the money, have them do chores, even if they aren't interested in the money, have them do chores anyways.
