I have had two teeh pulled recently. I may need to have a third out. I was thinking about getting a partial denture to fill in the space. Can't afford $3,000 per implant at this time and that doesn't include the crown. Any information on partials will be helpful.

Hey there, pal. I had the same predicament and went with the partial. I have had several teeth problems for no apparent reason, but I'll make this short. I had a root canal on the top left side, but didn't get a crown. The RC'd tooth broke in half, a year later, I had no insurance left and had a tooth that was killing me. I would have had to take painkillers around the clock for the next 4 months so I had it pulled as well. I then had a crown fall off because a cavity had receeded into the gumline. Now, I have a partial that covers 4 teeth, and it works great. It DOES take some time to get used to. Be sure to buy some Polident or something like that before you get it. I got home, mine didn't fit quite right, and kept popping in and out. Finally, I've had this since August and have gotten quite used to it. Just make sure they match your teeth color properly. I have a full set of about 8/10 whiteness, and one tooth that is sparkling.

first off if you have no other options then go with the partial. however make sure you do not get a partial with metal clasps. these are bad for the teeth that they hook around, and eventually you will loose these also. request a partial with acrylic clasps. valplast partials are good.

A great website to research anything dental explained in layman's terms is www.simplestepsdental.com. You can research all your options out there (RPD, FPD and/or implants).
