Faith can be a big deal in a relationship. You need to talk it over with him and find out how much it means to him. More and more people of different beliefs are coming together. But remember to ask yourself how far are you willing to go. Love is wonderful but it is not always lasting and with obstacles in the way it can be even more difficult to keep.

Try and see where it takes you. It will depend on how strong each one of you is. Love will overcome is a greatly missused term. I think that it doesn't apply by itself.
Love will overcome the boundary btwn the two of you but the question is will your two communities and society as a whole accept you? And if they don't are the two of you strong enough to stand by each other.
i'm currently in a cross-cultrue relationship. Dfferent race and religions. We simply chose not to listen to all the crap that might come our way and only take in what matters. It's worked out and we are even more inlove than when we started of. I hope the same happens with you.

You have serious differences there. Not just theological, but cultural and value systems--what would be called family of origin situations that need be explored between you. I would suggest you meet with a social worker who has MSW experience to begin exploring.
I would suggest that you get married civilly initially. If the relationship progresses to a mutual satisfaction level after several years, then contact your church. Ask the church for a blessing of the union

There have been all out wars because of religion. It is VERY important. Even if you two can find the slightest bit of common ground. The problem will become HUGE when kids come in to the picture. What religion will you raise your kids to believe?

i'm a british bangladeshi maylasian and a muslim so i comprehend that households distinctly of asian backgrond impose strict regulations in marrying interior of on faith and historic past. My mom and father helps me to go back to a call on yet should be a muslim (no matter if convert or born) yet race or nationality isn't an mission. i imagine in case you clarify on your mom and father that you aren't to any extent further waiting to go back to a call on someone you aren't to any extent further in love with and in case you fall in love then you actually will be waiting for marriage. in case your mom and father does no longer pay interest then attempt an older brother you've self belief or different relative to seek for suggestion from out of your mom and father. some mom and father nonetheless insists you to fall in love with someone that's similar caste. if that's the case then attempt to shop that in concepts even as ever you fall in love and atleast they are not arranging a guy for you to go back to a call on yet allowing you to go back to a call on ........ ultimate desires xxxxx

i don't think religion has anything to do with who you love, but if u tie the knot with him, then there might be some kind of special ceremonies. but it all depends on how religious he is

You may need some counseling. And if you decide to have children, you need to decide in advance what religion they will follow.
