Online you can lie easier, and make people think you're decent...when you're really a perv, or weirdo. Then, for those that are genuinely decent, I would say because it's easier to be yourself when you're not face to face with someone. You don't have to put on airs and act a certain way...online, you can let it all hang out, without worrying about fear of the judgement you might face from someone you might see all the time, or know.

The internet is a collection of all the people in the world, and you can talk to them where they feel most safe. So you get more from the heart conversations. Where people in real life are just the people you meet that live around you.

Decent ppl online are more fake than ppl in person, dont be fooled by simply seeing nice words on your screen.

It's a great deal to easier to fake, or at least 'better' your personality online. Most of the time, everything is typed. This gives you time to think about what you're saying to someone, and perhaps to edit it. Where as when you talk to someone in real life, it's much harder to hide what you're really like.

first of all you dont know that the people online are truly decent as you say, second of all its easier for people to talk online b/c they dont have face to face contact, and last but not least my piece of optimism for the day, there are decent people in real life you've just got to look for them that's all

Because online is fake. Fake can be decent or even perfect. Real life has issues and you have to deal withthem constructively if you want anything meaningful.

Funny you should ask that question. I moved to FL from NY a year ago and I find it so hard to make friends down here. We have met two really great couples that we hang out with in our community but thats it, I think that is really strange and very sad.

Depends upon how and where you look for decent people. They are out there. Also, don't be so trusting of people on the net, most of them have self-serving agendas and are not to be trusted.

Well...mainly its because some shy people tend to go outside their sheel online (since its better not to talk face to face) but if its losers like...mean people then they are just sadly venting out their loser-ish beings.
