In the off season like now, buy whole frozen unsweetened strawberries.

In a blender put good water, a handful or two of the frozen strawberries, add honey (or maple syrup) to sweeten and here's the kicker, a squish of lemon or lime. Delicious. You can also make it with half water, half juice such as orange juice. For more flavor add a few chunks of frozen mango or blueberries. Extends the flavor. Do not use bananas because bananas will steal the flavor from the strawberries. You don't need ice because the frozen berries will make your drink cool. ENJOY!!!! Good Luck.

Strawberry-Kiwi Smoothie:

The strawberries and kiwi provide your daily need for vitamin C. Plus, you get a double dose of plant estrogens from the strawberries and soy milk. You can use frozen blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries in place of the strawberries.

1 cup frozen unsweetened whole strawberries
1 cup low-fat vanilla soy milk
2 teaspoons honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 peeled kiwifruit, halved
3 firm bananas, peeled and halved

Place all ingredients in a blender; process until smooth. Chill thoroughly.

Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 cup)

Get 1lb. frozen strawberries and 1pt. heavy cream (plain milk will do) put in the blender (try smaller amounts) and serve, you might want to add sugar, make sure that if you do put it in the blender. I do this with my children, it is very safe, easy and delicious!
