God is Spirit... So what color is Spirit? The first Non-Jew saved by the blood shed for him on the cross was a black man.. I guess God doesn't care about color either.. My ancestors never "owned" a person make worked with blacks side by side in the days then New York was called New Amsterdam. They were held as indentured servants by the Holland West Indian Company. Why would I be ashamed of them.. The worked to build a new Country here in America.. I am proud of them... Jim

You probably mean, what would u do if you found out Jesus was a black man? (namely because Christians thought he was god incarnate)

Theres an old story. Of a messenger of God who asked God to come and visit them one day. God agreed. As the prophet told all his people that God was coming..they got all kinds of festivities ready, and in the commotion the prophet did not notice an old poor and frail man come up to him and ask for a plate of food. In the heat of the event, the prophet told the man to leave as he had no time to deal with that, and the old man left.

Meanwhile...the people were waiting for God to arrive, and no one did.Nothing. No pillar of light from the sky, no booming sound. Zilch.

So the prophet got worried...he thought to himself: we must have done something terribly wrong for God allmighty to not visit us like this. And he prayed to the Lord to inform him why this happened.

And the following conversation took place between the Creator and the prophet:

Prophet: Oh Lord, why did you not come? Did we do something wrong?

God: I did come. But you did not notice Me.

Prophet: *puzzled and confused* Lord, please inform me how this could have happened.

God: Remember the old man that came to you to ask for a plate of food, among all the food you had prepared?

Prophet: Yes I do. . .

God: I was with that old man, at heart and mind and consequently, all he did was all I wanted Him to do. I came, but you did not notice me.

So the prophet saddened and remorsed over the events that took place, never laid eyes on a hungry poor man and let him go without answering his needs.

I believe God the Father is a spirit, so he can't really have any color. When the Bible says man was made in God's image, it doesn't mean a physical likeness.

But God the Son (Jesus) definitely wasn't white. This we know.

I'm not racist... I don't care about anyone's color. I do care how someone acts.

I am not ashamed of my ancestors. I don't agree with how some of them viewed life, but to be ashamed of them as a whole? No.

You do realize there are black's who are racist as well, right? Or do you think only White Americans are racists?

Spiritulality transcends, (rises above), petty false prides like
sexism, racism, nationalism, and religious intolerence.
These things are just excuses that some use to justify the fact the want to remain in their childhoods, and only care
about themselves.

Your question smack of racism, God is black, if you want him to be. Racism is caused by ignorance and only by ignorance. Stop living in the past. Stop bringing up the past to set forth an agenda.

No i'm not racist. And I think it'd be pretty funny if god was black and then racist people would freak out. But some black people are racist against white people too.
Yeah, and what your teacher said was kinda racist. but what do you mean by "all you americans should be ashamed of yourself"?........

nonsense,God is Spirit while the Son of God came to the Israelites, so therefore God cannot be any colour, and Jesus was olive-skinned.

Why should I be ashamed of my ancestors? I didn't pick them any more than you picked your skin color, any more than my neighbor chose to be a redhead.

If I do something to be ashamed of, then I will be ashamed. It's that simple.

It's not the color of God's skin that concerns me, it's the immorality he displays in the stories collected in the Bible. If there truly is a God and he did all the things described in the Bible, then I do not find him worthy of admiration.
