After you check out Isaiah 9:6, dig through this. I think it's really cool. Not completely Old Testament, but just bear with it anyway.
Genesis 14 (mostly 18-20, but you can read the context if you want to get a little deeper into it). A little interesting how Abraham had a superior that he paid tithes to that was never ever mentioned in Genesis except for this one time. And no other time in the Old Testament, UNTIL about 1000 years later in Psalm 110:4. So a prophecy, right? That's easy. Jesus is going to follow after the order of Melchizidek. But, who is Melchizidek Well, guess what? Melchizidek isn't mentioned again until another 1000 years later in Hebrews 7:1-4. But, the writer completely explains him here--you have to analyze it a little though.
Here are the main points:
-Melchizidek was king and priest. People were not king and priest then. The king was from the tribe of Judah and the Priest was from the tribe of Levi. Check out 2 Chronicles 16-18.
-king of Righteousness/king of Peace
-no genealogy, which can be interpreted in 2 ways. Some people think it just means that there was just no record of a father/mother or death (which is, by the way, really strange in Genesis, the chapter of genealogy). Then some people think it means that he actually was never born (like Adam) and never died (like Elijah)
-But, he was a man (verse 4, if you have a literal, word-for-word translation like ESV or something--I know NIV just says 'he') .
Whoa, cool? What!

Good one.. Since Jesus claimed to be the God of the Old Testament then There a problem believing Him?
1. Did He lie? The Messiah lie... God forbid..
2. Was He insane? How could He fill the office of Messiah if He was stable?
3. Then He must have been telling the Truth.. Jesus is I AM. The God of the Old Testament..

No, the claim was never made. The Messiah is to be a man with human parents, not a demigod.

This is one verse that supports the claim. With this said one could argue "Immanuel" is simply a name not a title. One could also try to argue that this is not a Messianic prophesy. (but then again you could argue that about any of them)
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you [3] a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and [4] will call him Immanuel. [5]
[3] Isa_7:14 The Hebrew is plural.
[4] Isa_7:14 Masoretic Text; Dead Sea Scrolls and he or and they
[5] Isa_7:14 Immanuel means God with us .

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
