I have bought red kidney beans for the first time
I thought that I should try it out
But now I don't know how to eat it
I bought it canned with Slat water
Any body know how to eat this thing
I mean with bread or with rice? Should I add something to it? etc ...
Please don't post silly answers like "Eat with using your mouth or so"

drain off the water, add them to some fried up hamburg. mix in some tomato soup with tomato juice. add an envelope of chili mix and let it simmer for awhile. make up a box of Jiffy cornbread and ENJOY!

Kidney Bean Salad
Categories: Diabetic, Salads, Vegetables, Beans
Yield: 4 sweet ones
16 oz (1 can) kidney beans; 1 ts Dill pickle; grated
-rinsed well 2 ts Onion; grated
-=OR=- 1 Egg white; hard-cooked
16 oz (1 can) pinto beans; rinsed -chopped finely
-well Romaine Lettuce leaves;
1 Celery stalk; diced 1/4 c Anchovy Yogurt Dressing;
Mix first 5 ingredients together lightly. Arrange on lettuce leaves
and top with a spoonful of dressing

Lipton/Knorr rice side packet, mushrooms sliced, onion diced, mixed veg (frozen) in a pan with water (see package of rice for amount) . Get it heating up according to instructions (on same package). Bake a boneless chicken breast in toaster oven, cut into small pieces when done and add to rice mixture near end of cooking time along with rinsed Kidney beans and finish cooking. Put in bowl add hot sauce (red pepper- to taste) and grated cheese. Enjoy.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

kidney beans go best in chili...just add some ground beef (or chicken if u prefer) some tomato soup and some chili powder mmmm good stuff

you could eat them plain, but they are not too flavorful. I add chili to mine and serve them with white rice.Kidney beans are great when you buy them dry and put -garlic-onions-sausage-and chili powder in the stock water.Cook until very tender and juice is thick.(takes a while to cook them)Good luck....

Put it in chili con carne (mince and chili powder) and serve with rice.
Note: if you ever use fresh kidney beans they have to be properly prepared or they can be dangerous.
