My ex-stepfather is a Diet Coke junky. I think he actually likes the taste of that artificial sweetner. He is somebody that orders that way though or will eat a huge helping of some diet food and wonder why he doesn't lose weight.

To avoid the sugars in Coke. Granted, fast food in general is fatty. Diabetics are not supposed to drink regular Cokes, so we order diet cokes.

They might be diabetic or prefer the taste of diet to regular. They are better off going for the regular, nutritionally.

Hmmmmmmmm, I don't know, that kind of scene is uncommon in McDonalds in Canada, but what do we know, we get drunk and high off syrup. (kidding)
