The point where you start to lose respect for your partner or worse yet, when your partner makes you lose respect for yourself - these are the points where you need to cut and run.

when you realize that no matter what you do or say they will never treat you with the love and respect that you deserve, when you find the courage to leave, when you can't bring yourself to be in the same room with them one more minute, when you know in your heart you do not want to live like this for the rest of your life. when you know that no matter what they say they will have one more drink, one more night of drugs, one more affair, and they will blame you one more time for everything and they will be violent and put you down and make you feel like the worst thing that ever lived. when you finally see that you really are better than this, you are an intelligent ,beautiful human being ,and what they do and say is a reflection of how they feel about themselves, and an attempt to keep you from leaving--or when you have had enough.

Hi,

I have only ever done something like that once! Many people believe in giving second chances, But when a person cheats on you in a relationship, they will do it over and over again!

I thin in that scenario, a person has the right to end it.

when it is taking a physical toll on your body and keeping you stressed out, it's time to go, if all you do is fight and have nothing there but sex, it's time to go. it's always hard being the one to end it, but think about it it always hurts worse when you're the one being dumped. i had to end a relationship with the love of my life, because all we did was cause each other pain, i knew we could each do better, i had nothing to give him- emotionally i was exhausted and empty- he had nothing to offer me because he felt as if he wasn't good enough for me. we tried being friends but that didn't work, once you fall in love with a person you can't handle thinking of them being in another relationship with someoneelse, you know you have to let go, and hope like hell it was the right thing to do.

I've always been the one to make the decision to leave. When the stress of being with someone outweighs the stress of being without them, I leave. I try to be as respectful as possible to the other person without lying. Breaking up with someone is always hard.

We all think about leaving our significant others at times, but when it's all you think about, it's usually time to go.

When you cant stand the thought of going home to them, and cant stand having a conversation with them or when every conversation with them ends in an arguement. When you look at them and dont see the person you fell in love with. Granted it doesnt mean its all there fault but those are good good signs

Yes, Ive pretty much ended every relationship I was in. I ended it when it became obvious that things weren't working out and he wasn't doing anything to change it.

When, after dating him for 3 months, I realized that while I generally enjoyed his company, we weren't compatible. He smoked, I didn't. He was anti-marriage, I wasn't. He like head games, I didn't. He was emotionally immature, I like a man with more on the ball.
He was "fun" for a while, but no way was he right for me. He always made me laugh, but laughing wasn't enough.

When she started getting obsessive, and wouldn't let me talk to my friends (girls) anymore. That was the last straw, and just told her, that they were my friends, and if she had a problem with it, she could just leave. Things were tense between us for a while, then it was all right after that.
