I can give you some evidence that God is real. I can show you in the Bible where it says that Jesus was expected. I can show you why we need Jesus. I can explain what he did for us. What I can't do is convince you of anything.. That isn't my job. That's God the Holy Spirit's job... If you want to see what I am talking about I will make myself available... Jim

As a follower of Christ, I'm not actually in the business of convincing people. See, I would like to follow Jesus' example and present the evidence and then simply let others decide what to do with it.

I do not believe that anyone can force you or convince you if you don't want to be convinced.

Also, there is a great danger in making another person responsible for your own faith. As a Christ-follower, I believe that my faith is ultimately relational: Between me and God. So, to put the responsibility on somebody else (be it my spouse, pastor or a random person of another faith) to spoon feed me my own set of beliefs is actually the opposite of what would be most helpful to me (or to anyone).

So.... what would be most helpful?
I believe that it is to encourage you to first seek God for His direction, His Truth and His leading in your search for Truth/faith/answers. Ask Him for help. I believe that if you really do have an open heart to Truth, then it *will* find you and will be obvious to you in a personal, meaningful way. The worst that can happen is that He reveals Truth to you in a package that you weren't expecting.

I hope that you have enjoyed reading my post. I welcome your response/comments. All the best : )

Let Me see For God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY begotten son that who so ever believes in him shall not parish but have everlasting life. Its by Grace through faith that we are saved and step out side of your comfort zone and step into Jesus's zone and have a personal relationship with him and see how he can redeem the time that the devil has stolen in your life. He can take all the mistakes and make it right, but you have to step out of the boat and believe HAVE FAITH.

No, but I can help un-convince you of Islam. Read "Islam Revealed" by Dr Annis Shorrosh. That will at least get you looking for a religion. Then Christianity will not seem quiet so absurd.

I can tell from your screen name that you do not want to be convinced of Christianity - you want only to start a conversation and attempt to convert someone to Islam. Nice try though!

I guess you have the usual Muslim Bible contradictions you want to talk about. You can get Information on answering-islam.org. or christian site carm.org, about them. So no one here has to do all that research. If you want to leave Islam read on faithfreedom.org, ex-muslim help you on that. Search with open mind.
