As I don't know them, I wouldn't have any way of knowing that, but I do know that they are in no way responsible for the errors and crimes of their father. They have no need to be ashamed. The shame is all Ted Haggards'--for being a hypocrite and a purchaser and user of illegal drugs. Being homosexual, in itself, is nothing to be ashamed of. The greatest shame is that his religion convinced him to believe it is.
I do not celebrate the failures of my fellow human beings, though I do think it a good thing that his hypocrisy has at last been exposed.

All Christians are proud of Haggard because he got caught and had to confess. He tried to slip out in the beginning, but got pulled back in.

You may want to not focus so much on him and focus more on God.
The living God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He does not change.
We don't follow the man; we follow God. If we follow man; then we will be let down. Man will fail and some even fall, like Pastor Ted.

Trust me, they are in shock. Give them some time, they will probably hate him. This is far more worse than most of you people think.
