When my son turned 10, he wasn't into anything specific. We went to many stores. After a full day of shopping for party favors, he chose the cheap hand held games ( $2.00 each.) Good luck!

My nephew just turned 8, but his mom gave out little goodie bags filled with pencils, cool erasers, tattoos, candy, etc. They are pretty trendy people (There were oalmost 40 kids at the party so popluar as well!). I thought it was cute! ! yea she handed out cookies that were on sticks like suckers and wraped in cellaphane. Another year huge suckers...The other ladies ballon idea is cute also!

Get some helium filled balloons, tie long strings to them, and tie a sucker, pencil, and maybe some other candy on the bottom of the string (kind of like a weight to hold down the balloon).

dinky cars
gold fish (you can usually get them really cheap and buy very small glass bowls for cheap in bulk at a craft store)
