I'm going to buy a car soon, And then move pretty much right after that...It would be a good idea to get the insurance and plates and stuff before I go, obviously, but what will need to be done once I move? I heard that as long as I live in my parent's house, the insurance would be cheaper, well, I'd be moving out...so I have no idea how to get everything straightened around.

If you are under 18 and living at home, you can be on your parents insurance, which saves you some money. If you no longer live at home (unless you are a full time student attending school in another state, or in the military) you can no longer be on your parent's insurance. But of course you have to have plates on the car and insurance before you can drive it. If you are not moving to another state, best get your own insurance policy. If you are, write to the state you are moving to and ask what you can do in that case.

I would recommend one to try this site where you can compare quotes from different companies: http://COVERAGEFINDER.NET/index.html?src=1YAfnhgmJX80

I live in california and have insurance here. When i went to nevada my insurance was no good there, so you need to find out if your coverage is good in the new city or state that you will be moving to.
