his girl friend has taken over he went away to jail for a long time and now all he thinks about is her and now he asked her to marry him what should I do I even tried talkin to him!!!

The best thing to do in this situation is to let him find out for himself. His girlfriend couldn't possibly have taken over if he didn't let her. All you need to do is to be the sibling that you are. Love your brother as you always have and let him live his own life, also, in turn live your own. The love that siblings share cannot be destroyed by an outsider (girlfriend/boyfriend). You two will always be family. Girlfriends/boyfriends come and go but brothers and sisters are always there for each other.

Well, you said you even tried talking to him and obviously it didn't work. It's tough to stay out when you see something that you don't think is good.But, this is what you will have to do because your bro is a grown man, and he has to make his own choices as well as his own mistakes, just let him know that you love him and will be there for him if and when he should need you.

Ask him if you can hang out or if he would liek to come with you to but a present for something. Basically with my brother, if I want to hang out with him I let him play his video games and talk with him. That and I always leave my door open for conversation. BUT!:never mention his girlfriend in a conversation. Then it will be all about her again.

Support him in whatever he's doing, you'll always be there and that girl won't, if you give him crap about it he will just distance himself from you. Try to stick it out and he'll love you forever cause you'll have shown your love for him.

you need to support him cause in the end she will not be there and his family will even when we dont like the choices our family makes we need to be there for them
