If you are using a substance. coke, meds etc. You need to go to the clinic and get clean. Most woman who are sexually abused take substances to make them forget what happened.

My best friend went through the the same thing for a long time and she was a coke addict. She been clean for years.

I asked her this question and I want you to think about it closely. If the problem existed before you get high, doesn't exist while your high, and when you come down. Why would you give that other person the satisfaction? Why would you give someone else your hard earned money.

Now that is suggest you need to go to a clinic that deals with detox and tell them what you problem is they will help you but you have to want it.

sexual abuse is not substance abuse. So which substance are you referring to, and do you need treatment for the substance or for the sexual abuse? Suggest if you've not had treatment for the sexual abuse, find a therapist that specializes in PTSD for that, then the substance abuse issue will likely be easier to resolve. But look for the specific substance, ie: alcohol, narcotics, etc.

What substance is this woman addicted to? AA, NA are both wonderful programs for drugs and alcohol (AA accepts cross-addicted persons but NA does not-you can't be an alcoholic and go to NA)

The sexual abuse. I'm sure she drank over her abuse, but for that she really needs professional counseling. While a lot of addicts and alcoholics have been sexually abused (men and women) to get through the worst of the abuse requires a psychiatrist/psychologist who specializes in abuse patients. But in the meantime, hit AA/NA for the substance abuse.
