The best cards I've ever used were both from Citibank. The Citi Dividend offers 5% cash back on gas, groceries, and pharmacies with 1% back on everything else. Plus they have bonus merchants, such as Target, that offers like 7% cash back. The Citi Diamond card is the same, but you get points that can be redeemed for gift cards or cash back.

Call Vista or Master Card and ask them which kinds of cards have benfits. That is what I did, he lady from custumer care told me which one has plane point, gas points and money back.

I know that discover card gives money back.
