In the last few months i have been having major mood swings, for one week i'll be really 'high' and loud etc and for the next week i'll be so quiet, tired, feel alone and in the last few days i have started to self harm.
Is this Bi-polar?
Also what can i do about it for myself?
The only peron who knows about any of this, including the self-harm is one of my closest friends.
I don't want to see a doctor and i can't talk to my mum about it, what can i do? ♥

Self mutilating is another issue. I'm sure you had to see a Dr. to determine that you are Bi-polar. PLEASE,PLEASE go and talk to the Dr. I had and I mean literally HAD a friend who was Bi-polar, and was also a cutter, and she did such a good job, that she is no longer here in this life. The only way to help yourself is to face it and get the help you need. Praying for you...

You should never feel that you should not be able to talk about a problem. That's why doctors are out there. We all have this little person in side our head that makes us afraid of them. I was terrifed when I told my dr i was having anger tantrums and being depressed all the time. He helped me and then I talked to a therapist. She is the best thing that EVER happened to me. She helped me use other tools to use them to my best advantage.

Please don't cut yourself. My best friend is dead because she did that I don't want your parents and your friends to ask why did you do this. Could I have stopped you. We must look at the whole situtation and how everything effects us.

Tell you mom or a guardian and then go to the dr. If you didnt' post the question you wouldn't be looking for help. There is not shame is asking for help or seeking it.

If you are hurting yourself, it is dangerously serious. Bi-polar is nothing to be ashamed about. It is usually a biological disorder that can be easily corrected with medication. If it is emotional in nature, a doctor can help you sort it out. Talk to your parents and get the help you need.

The only problem is your self discipline. Clearly your self harm is for show to others, Subconsciously if nothing else. You'll find that to be correct in your heart if you're really being honest with yourself. Fight it mentally and focus on what you wish to experience, ignore the bad no matter what the cost, and see the good in life and things. Eventually your mentality will change when you do this consistently.

Grow up, go see a doctor. Without treatment, you are likely to end up in an institution in short order, or end up doing something illegal and end up in prison. Without treatment, bipolar disorder will swing out of control.
