Would it not make sense for everyone to practise the rituals of every religion in the world? We should all bow towards Mecca 5 times a day, celebrate mass, not offend fijjian Sea-monsters, pray to Odin and Thor and so on.

Surely that is the reductio ad absurdum of Pascals Wager, how can we know which religion is correct?

I'm just going to follow Homer's Wager and make sure I don't offend the "real" god by praying to the wrong one.

Just a different take on your idea there.
