eat good proteins and carbs.
avoid white carbs use only wholegrain foods, brown rice, granary bread, sweet potatoes etc brown pasta too!
as for protein ensure you get the majority from lean meat and fish, avoid too much dairy as you will get fat.
you must eat a small meal every two to three hours!
you should do more weights than cardio, weight training burns more calories anyhow. your cardio should be a maximum of 45 mins 3 times a week at a low intensity, ask your trainer for ideal heart rate.
your weights session should be intense, whole body workouts three times a week again they should be a maximum of an hour at a time.
I found that this type of diet and workout helped. i went from 57 kilos and 15% bodyfat to 80 kilos and 8% bodyfat in three years. it sounds like a long time but you have the time.
I take a protein shake with porridge for breakfast and one after training along with a creatine cycle. take a small handful of dried fruit immediately post weight training to fill your glycogen stores you should see an improvement in strength immediately!
as I said this worked for me, each person is an individual and reacts differently to the variables of weight gain, and they are many! don't get pre occupied with comparing yourself to guys in the gym. concentrate on what you're doing and ensure you are lifting with perfect form. the rest will follow if you stick to it
good luck!

If you want to fatten up you may find it very difficult. Some people just cannot gain weight and it would be damaging to your health to try over a long period of time.
You can try by eating lots of carbs and sugars together with lots of protein as you'll be taking in more energy than you are using!
And become a couch potatoe.
Or you can bulk up through exercise by eating normal, well balanced meals but with more protein. Take up weight traing and cardio vascular exercises.
Hope this helps.

Eat corissants, chocoalte, doughnuts, throughout the day, and in the evening eat pasta with lots of butter, and then have fresh cream cakes for afters. On that diet I could put on at least a stone in a week. Good luck!
