we cant wait for our babies to talk and get happy when they take their 1st steps, but then we spend the rest of their life telling them to sit down and shut up?

This is one of lifes puzzles, just like when they're ill and very quiet and still, you wish they were back to their noisy boisterous self.
Another puzzle,When you try for days to learn them words they cant, but soon as you let a swear word slip they repeat it perfectly to everyone that calls?

I don't know. I only told one kid every to sit down and shut up and that was because he was driving me bonkers that day. I spent a lot of time talking to them and letting them run around. There were 6 of them lol!

Do you have children? I love my daughter dearly and I am a stay at home mum but sometimes with her constant shouting and whinging and running around she can drive me mad, I try not to shout and listen to all that she is trying to say but I do get to a point where I may say please mummy is busy, go and sit down and play.

Now that's a funny quote, wait a minute I did that. lol.. Seriously, when our kids were learning to walk and talk we were so happy, now they won't stop sometimes. My oldest daughter (5) will repeat herself till someone answers. I asked her why and she replied someone will answer. Guess,. she has a point.

I personally don't and would never do that to my children, it was my choice to make them, and to tell them to shut up would be cruel

And then when they are all grown up and moved out, we can't wait for them to come over and talk our ear off.
