I am wearing a dress with spaghetti straps. Are clear bra straps acceptable and appropriate or should I go with a strapless one instead?

Strapless!!! Clear straps are almost worse than regular. I would definatly invest in a GOOD strapless (don't go cheap, you'll be uncomfortable and miserable all night).

Clear bra straps are acceptable, but they are often shiny and still noticeable. I would suggest a strapless instead. If you're going to be dancing, I strongly suggest a "long-line," a strapless bra that looks more like a corset (from your breasts to your hips). It gives a nice smooth line under your dress, and provides much more reliable support (regular strapless bras always seem to end up around my ribs after an hour of dancing).

Personally I think the clear bra straps are trashy and everyone can see them so it's definitely better to go with strapless.

Get a convertable bra, with invisible, removable straps. Go strapless, but keep the straps in your purse, just in case!

Personally, I think clear plastic straps don't work, even in the daytime. I think a strapless bra is the only answer if you want to looking smashing.

Some dresses have built in bras that work for some women...
