Did he:
1) Rebuild the Temple, as Ezekiel's plans?
2)Bring world peace, or interspecies peace?
3) Bring everyone back, including the 10 Lost Tribes?
4) Rule as a king and judge?
5) Come after the battles in Zechariah?
6)Cause universal coranation of G-d?
7) Be a decendant (father-son) of David?
8)Survive?

because he did not do anything the messiah is supposed to do.
EDIT
so did thousands of other jews at the time... besides the messiah is not supposed to die on the cross, so that doesn't even matter
