Believe that atheists are devil-worshippers?
Nowhere is there a definition for atheism that says 'worships the devil'.
The only definition I am aware of is that atheists believe in no gods.
We don't even believe in the devil.
I have always thought that the belief in the devil would be called satanism.
Please correct me if I am mistaken.

There are many religious people who simply believe what they're told to believe, they don't analyze it or question it, and if someone tells them that someone who doesn't believe in God is an enemy of God, they know from prior knowledge that the only enemy of God is Satan and so people who are the enemy of God must be worshippers of Satan.

Not to say, at all, that any of this is true or believable, but that's the cultish Christian mind-state.

Your not mistaken and anyone with half a brain would not confuse the two. Simply atheist don't believe in God, God created Satan, therefor you cant believe in Satan.....doing so would mean you would have to believe in God hence you wouldn't be an atheist. Simple.
