I generally will tip barbers ($3-$5) , cab drivers (15%) and pizza deliveries ($2-$3).
The only time I tip a grocery store bagger is when it's a student rasing money for a class trip.

not grocery store clerks (unless they carry out your groceries to the car for you, then $1-$2)
for Hairdressers, I give at least $5 for a woman's haircut...anything less is an insult. I give a lot more if i absolutely LOVE the haircut
and cab drivers and pizza delivery drivers $2-$3

Grocery Stores- If they take the kart out to your car for you, a couple of bucks would suffice. More if its raining.
Hairdressers- You are already paying about 12 bucks for the cut, so about 4 extra is more than enough.
Cab Drivers- Depends on the fare, and the weather. About 3-5 for a short run. 10-15 for a longer one.
Pizza- All depends on quickness and weather. 4 bucks is a good tip if total is around 20 bucks. More if its raining.

1. No
2. Yes, men should tip around $5 and women should tip around $10
3. Yes, assuming they got you there in good time and made nice conversation tip around $5 for every 30 minutes in the cab (with a $5 minimum)
4. If the weather is decent, tip $2 + your change. i.e. if your total is $12.30, give the delivery person $15.
All of this assumes decent service.

I haven't lived in a place where grocery clerks are tipped, unless they take groceries to your car. The other three occupations call for a minimum of 15% tip. I quit tipping for crummy service some time ago.

Please tip Hairdressers, Cab Drivers and Pizza Delivery people. Generally it should be 15% of purchase, but can be more or less depending on the quality of service that you received. I've never tipped a Grocery store clerk, but we don't do that where I live.

1. most large chain grocers discourage tipping. i usually try 2 tip my bagger a couple of bucks if he puts my groceries in my car 4 me. a lot will refuse, but during the holidays...if i insist some will take it.
2. 10 - 20% of the bill if they do an extraordinary job.
3. maybe 5 - 10% if they didnt give me motion sickness.
4. this is a tuff one. most places are charging an xtra delivery fee since gas prices went up. but i treat them like halfway decent waitresses @ 10%

1 = no (they get paid a good enough wage, and the system is NOT set up for tips)
2,3,4 = yes - about 10-15%, depending on service - bad service can get a zero tip. At Christmas, maybe do something outrageous once like a 25-50% tip but only if you can afford it.
