She may be perfectly fine, but I think Ive scared myself my reading up/researching/preparing for adopting a cat an now im 'looking for it' BUT... she sneezes more than usual in one day, has very minor eye boogie now an then, and today sounds like she chokes/coughs a little. but i just thought its after she drank water to quick or something..... are these sypmtoms i should be afraid of? or is it not serious enough yet?

Don't be afraid. The first thing you should do when you adopt a cat is take it to the vet for a checkup. The vet can tell you if your cat is in good health. He will also tell you what vaccines cats need and when they need them. Cat's can get sick, sometimes cats have allergies. I had a cat once who was allergic to Christmas trees. He scratched all of the fir off his sides and stomach. We stuck with an artificial tree after that. But cats will sneeze and have respiratory problems sometimes. If he seems ok then it will probably clear up in a day or two, if he seems like he's not well and it doesn't clear up then just take him to the vet. Be sure that you brush him especially if he is long haired. Hairballs are a common cause of coughing in cats. Try to relax and enjoy your cat. You probably did just read too much. lol

I think these sypmptoms are something to be worried about. It may be a the signs of an upper respitory infection. Take your kitty to the vet!

this perhaps does sound like it needs a check
kittens often do have that runny eye , and mine also had nasal probs and yukky stuff on it ... that turned out fine as she got older
but i think with all these conditions you are describing together , maybe a vet would be best to advice xx

She is most likely fine but ease your mind, take her to the vet for a check up and shots if they haven't had any. This way you know she is ok and you won't worry. Plus it never hurts to get your animal a check up.

She's fine. The only thing that doesn't sound totally , completely, 100% normal to me is the sneezing, but I don't think I'd worry about that anyway. I never really notice how much my cats sneeze.

maybe she has a upper respiratory infection, take her to the vet for a check up and they may put her on some antibiotics to clear it up. She will need to be vaccinated as well if you have not already gotten them.
