Listen to her the first time she says it, let her know you listened to her, and then have her listen to you.
If she tries to repeat herself, and interrupts you, tell her you did her the courtesy of listening to her, ask her to give you the courtesy of listening to you as well.

As someone who's major pet peeve in the world is GETTING INTERRUPTED I've encountered this one a lot.

PS... It goes both ways.. men are VERY bad about not listening and interrupting too..
PPS.. this type of question might be better asked somewhere other than 'toddler/preschool' unless you are calling a female toddler a woman. :)

Leave. I had a wife like that one time and I left her so fast she didn't realize I was gone for three days. A woman that can't stop long enough to listen to what you have to say, or is so compulsive that she keeps repeating herself is mental and sould be loaded up with Prozac and left at the bus station.

You do not say who this woman is?

It makes one hell of a difference. If it is your Mom then maybe she is worried about you and if she repeats herself enough times you will give in and see her point of view....

If it's your girlfriend then maybe she has an issue that needs discussing... it may not even be about you. It could be something playing on her mind and she may not realise what she is doing...

If it is your sister then ignore her.. sisters are pains full stop ;o)

If it is an older relative or neighbour, maybe they have a stress related illness or maybe even a sign of dementure.... that could also go for a younger person too ...

But without a lot more information it is impossible to accurately help you.......

I annoy my boyfriend, I'm surprised he hasn't run off yet. His way of putting up with it is usually to say 'yes darling' to everything I say and completely ignore what I have said. These so called women repeating themselves happen less often when a fella doesn't argue back and really does listen.
However when my boyfriend wants to say something important, he usually tells me to shut up and I do, only because it's important.
By the way I found after nearly 6 years my boyfriend is almost deaf in one year. Not caused by my nagging.
I suppose this situation helped him.

She apparently doesn't think you are listening. Stop her and repeat *exactly* what she told you so she knows you are listening and "get it".

If this doesn't work, stop her and say..."You just said that. Do you know you repeat yourself over and over? Why is that?"

BTW - sometimes people repeat themselves when they are nervous or trying to figure out what they are going to say next, or both!

Good luck!

Maybe you need to get a thinner skull. She feels if she says it enough times it might sink into your thick one. And if ya look at all your answers on this dumb question I believe all of women seem to be repeating the same answer. LOL

Tell her to shut her fat piehole and get back into the kitchen.
Put on an Mp3 player and turn up the volume.
Explain to her that you cannot possibly take her seriously with her hair looking like that, and that your mates wife is much better looking and she's let herself go lately.
that should get her out of the way for a while.
Failing that, kick her out and go to Prague for a weekend, then head to Bangkok or Manila.
Sadly, women are like computers, you have to punch the information into the both of them.

tell her" you're such a nice woman and I love you for your being a woman of too much words! and every time you repeat the same words, you seemed getting more beautiful" then leave her for few hours and when you're back see what happens next....

sounds like my neighbour - only he's a man. what we do is say something like "really - well - wait until i tell you what happened to me" and then start talking - right over the top of him. we only had to do this a couple of times before the problem stopped. now when he sees us coming he waves and keeps on walking. ah bliss.
