i have asthma...I'm on the allergy medication Zyrtec plus and inhaler called Advair. it works pretty good for me.
i have 4 indoor/outdoor dogs, and i don't have much problem.
Rotts shed *like ALL dogs do...just some more than others there is NO SUCH thing as a "shed free" dog...just some dogs shed lightly*, even ppl shed...it's the dander that you are allergic to not the hair.
id talk to your doctor about some allergy medicine to help w/pet dander.
but honestly...if even after medicine you have allergies or problems being around a dog and it bothers your asthma id get a gold fish....or something that does not shed.

NO! They have dander, and that's what triggers allergies for most allergic people.

Dogs that do not have dander are:

Poodles
Bichon Friese
Dachsconds
Maltese

Ask the pet shop you intend to buy from. There may be other breeds I'm not aware of that are hypoallergetic.

Staying around a breed you're allergic to is DANGEROUS. The more you're around the allergen (what you're allergic to), the more severe your allergies will become, even to the point of your throat closing up or anaphalactic shock, which can kill you.

I have allergies too. I don't own a dog because of my allergies because of pet dander. But if you have asthma/severe allergies then I think having a dog is not a good idea to own one. I always owned little animals like goldfish , frogs, hermit crabs(when I came back from the beach I swore it was already dead and I didn't know... I think they sold me a dead one), I was lilke 10 when I owned them because I could own cats or dogs.

No. some will shed much less hair than others, yet its particularly their dander that motives the situation - so even hairless canines could nicely be a concern. Breeds with short curly hair look to shed much less, which has made human beings anticipate that they are hypoallergenic. in case you do attempt getting her a canines, you need to additionally submit to in recommendations that repeated exposure to an allergen by using the years may additionally make hypersensitive reactions worse. for this reason, your daughter could be wonderful once you first get the canines, yet her indicators ought to worsen by using the years. many all of us is likewise allergic to greater suitable than one situation, so she could do wonderful provided she is basically uncovered to one allergen (such because of the fact the canines) yet runs into issues while a 2nd allergen (pollen, yet another puppy, dirt and so forth...) is likewise cutting-edge. i could be very hesitant to take a position earnings a puppy that should compromise the wellness of your toddler. communicate on your loved ones wellness care professional - he could be waiting to supply you a greater physically powerful photograph as to how undesirable her hypersensitive reactions are, and regardless of if or no longer a puppy is a sturdy thought.

I'm allergic to dogs with fur, but not to dogs with hair - for instance, I could never have a rott or a german shepherd, but I have a maltese - yorkies also have hair, as do shih tzus, poodles, etc.
