I work 12 hour shifts at a factory. Its not really intense work but I'm still up an walking around for almost all of that 12 hours. That with regular things like: working on the car, going to the store, house work and just being alive has to burn some calories.

It depends on your metabolism. If you're muscular you will burn more calories. My guess is in the range of 1500-3000 calories per day. Your body burns a minimum of 1 calorie per minute just to maintain normal bodily functions.
