The Lord warned about wolves dressed up in sheep's clothing. Before you sola scriptura Protestants chime in with "Let him without sin cast the first sin...", "Judge Not..." and "No one is perfect" - ask yourselves why Ted Haggard never asked for that kind of help if he was tempted by drugs and massages by gay prostitutes. Let's say he came out in a sermon and admitted that he smoked meth and engaged in massages with gay prostituted - I bet he'd still be in his position today rather than resigning in disgrace.

Given that athiests and agnostics are going to answer no to the question - perhaps they could explain under what circumstances would they attend a megachurch.

i don't dig "mega-churches"...I think they're all about money and fake. It's all a popularity contest and a congregation for networking.

I know, cuz I belonged to one.

Actually, he just semi-admitted to having gay sex with the prostitute, so I suppose you should add to your question. I am rather glad to see such a pathetic man be revealed for what he is, quite the hypocrite and liar. Can anyone else hear the bells of justice?

I think rather it shows the strength that sin has over our physical bodies that tore this believer in two. He gave place to something he should not have and let it prosper. It's up to him now to repent or stay steeped in lust. Christians go to any church to worship Jesus, the Holy Spirit & God NOT THE PREACHER. Practical question though.

I would rather be dragged over broken glass and thrown in a pool of piranhas.

For a bet maybe?

Megachurches are a fraud. They are only built to make money.
