A group of friends and I are looking to dine out for Thanksgiving in NYC this year. Several of us want the normal Thanksgiving fanfare, while some are vegitarian and are looking for tofuturkey. Does anyone know of a place we could go together in Manhattan? (Maybe one of the many prix fixed places?) Thanks!

I think it will be hard to find one place to please everybody!

The two times I have eaten out on Thanksgiving, I have called ahead and told them that I was vegetarian and made sure that they knew what kind of meal I needed. Both times it was totally fine.

I don't know many non-vegetarian places that will serve tofurkey!

Your best bet is probably to look in NY Magazine and see which places are having Thanksgiving specials and then call and see if they can accomodate vegetarians and how they are doing so.

I can recommend Home, on Cornelia Street. They were very nice, and served me a nice vegetarian Thanksgiving meal.

I usually go to Josies when dinning out with a mixed crowd, I don't know what they have for Thanksgiving though.

try the buffet at the waldorf astoria. also, home should be okay! try the crystal room in tavern on the green! also, try gramercy tavern, p.j. clark's on 3rd avenue, and maybe joe allen's!
