Calm down! you will see our Lord. The bible speaks of 144,000. Those people are going to be "like assistants to Jesus.Earth will be part of heaven. GOD is the only one who knows what the real deal is. Just trust in the Lord and He will take care of it.

OK, I'm not reading all of these answers so I hope I'm not repeating anyone. I thought that 144,000 meant the Jewish people (who are the chosen people by God). These are the people who will still be on earth during the tribulation (the period of time between when the Christians are taken to Heaven and when Jesus comes back to rule the earth for 1,000 years). They will each be important in getting their own Jewish people to believe that Jesus was the Messiah before the tribulation is over. I think that is correct. Or somewhat correct. It's not a complete answer. Read the Bible and actually study that part so you understand it yourself. It sounds to me like you're believing what someone else told you.

No, the 144,000 is a literalist interpretation. It is a symbolic number.
As to accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior meaning that you automatically go to heaven and cannot loose your salvation, I do not believe that is true. There are many places in the Bible where Jesus and St. Paul speak to "saved" Christians, cautioning them to be careful NOT to loose their salvation.
I invite you to listen to this free mp3. It is very helpful in helping decide whether to believe in "Once Saved, Always Saved." PLEASE listen to it with an open heart. It will be worth your time! If you are wrong about this issue, it could cost you your soul! It is very dangerous to believe that you cannot loose your salvation no matter what. I am praying for you!
Yours in Jesus Christ,
A devoted Catholic Christian

No they aren't 144,000 people going to heaven Everyone that is saved and is baptized and live a christian life will go to heaven to be with god. But that is what the Jehovih Witness say that only 144,000 and that is only one that are selected by god. But I don't believe in that. I believe what the bible says about being saved and baptized that we have the hope when Jesus come back one day we all be met up with him in the heavens and that is were we will live forever and ever. that is what is the true meaning.

From my studies of the Bible, the 144,000 are the tribulation saints, those Jews that will convert to Christianity after the rapture and witness to the masses that are left behind (this is also the premise of the popular "Left Behind" book series). In this view, those who are saved will be raptured to heaven.
My Jehovah's Witness friend that I work with believes this way...that the 12 times 12 (the 144,000) are the very righteous, saints, call them what you will, that will reign in Heaven with Jesus to wage war on Satan during Jesus' 1000 year reign on earth (after Armageddon). The rest of Jesus Christ's followers have the hope of bodily resurrection/eternal life, on a paradise earth, the "new earth" told about in the Bible.
Keep studying your Bible if this is your path. The correct answers will come to you, believe what rings true in YOUR heart. Blessed be!

There are 144000 from the 12 tribes of Israel, after that you read of the multitude in white robes.
Rev 7:9-10 " After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches. And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb."
Rev 7:13-14 Then one of the elders asked me, "these in white robes-who are they, and where did they come from?" I answered "sir, you know." And he said "these are they who have come from the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

I do not know where you read that at but it is very untrue.. But also just because you accept Jesus does not mean that your going to heaven either.. You have to not only accept him into your heart, but into your mind, body, life the way you live, talk, and act... People have to live the life not just talk the talk... There is no such thing as once your saved your always saved... Either you life your whole life for God or not... There is no in between..

What are you f*cking talking about? Wherever you read that is a liar. If that's true then everyone here will be stuck in hell or on earth.
Only those who believe in the tribulation and rapture thinks that 144,000 people will be anointed and chosen to go up to heaven. Or those who believe in Jehovah's Witness.
If you believe in God then you will understand his love for you and everyone else who believes in him. Everyone who lives a Christian life will be able to be united with God eventually.
And if you lose that faith then you really aren't a believer.
God loves you and will let you into his kingdom as long as you stay true to his words [read the Bible, it will clarify].

This is what a Jehovah's Witness believes. There is no truth to this. The bible says that For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son the Whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. It does not say that the first 144,00 people will have everlasting life. If you are a Christian you can rest assured that you WILL live with God.
