i was born in tampa florida looking for birth parents or siblings need to get birth certificate frome tampa general hospital or all adoption records from tampa childrens home society. i think maybe are sealed because adoption took place at 6 weeks old born july 30 1967. please give me input on how to retrieve information please

You would have to call the vital statistics at Phone:: (813) 974-2731.The childrens home does not have the birth certificate.All records are kept at the number I gave you.The birth certificate might be locked but with a good lawyer you can get it.

Normally with adoption agencies they will not release the information about the parents to the child, or info to the parents about the child unless both of them have contacted the agency. This is for privacy reasons. What you can try to do is place an ad in the local newspapers with the birthdate and the name of the agency, and hopefully if they still live in the area, or someone...maybe a friend of your birth mother sees the ad they can contact her if she is still alive.

the only thing i know is that the state would have a copy of ur birth certificate no matter where u were born. u just need to contact the vital records department
