but what if you put it on your hands and then later lick ketchup off your finger? if it is dry, then does it not matter if you 'ingest' it? please take this seriously, thanks!
also, does anyone know the effect if you DO ingest it or get it in your eye?

and it also says not to get purell in your eyes -- but is it okay if you use it on your hands and then later touch your eyes? just double checking -- thanks. again, serious answers only, please!

it will only hurt you if you eat it, like more than what's dry on your finger. it's alcohol, so it will burn your eyes and i'm not sure about what happens if you eat it. you can go to yahoo search and look up msds, then put in the product name to find all the cautions

If you ingest a little bit, it's not going to hurt you at all. What they mean by call a doctor is if you had a full bottle and you catch your 4 year old with an empty one.. large amounts can be harmful, but it's not going to do anything more than make you throw up, and you'll probably experience some diarrhea. Putting it on your hands and then licking them isn't going to hurt you at all. Don't worry about it.
If you get it in your eye, stick your head under a tap and flush your eye with water. Once again, it's not going to kill you, but your eye may be sore for a few days.
