My parents rottie has been licking like nuts since its turned colder. Turns out he has a food allergy, my vet said for some reason a lot of owners notice this in the winter. He also said because the dogs spend more time in the house in the winter, you see other allergies you didnt notice before (because you spend more time inside and the house is closed up)

I hope you find something that works for your rottie :)

Is the dog bedded on any straw or anything like that in the winter? Straw could harbor mites, causing an allergic reaction.
