If they are WWII era, I agree with the other poster regarding Band of Brothers.

It is an unbelievable account of E (Easy) Company from D Day through the end of WWII in Europe.

Truly a group of heros in the truest sense of the word.

I saw Saving Private Ryan in a theatre the first week of its release, with a bunch of WWII vets - very somber and not a dry eye in the house - they were obviously moved.

That would be one.

Also, the Longest Day, with John Wayne, Sean Connery, etc.

Bridge Over the River Kwai - that's always a favorite, and somewhat lighthearted in parts.

M.A.S.H. - just because it's also light-hearted - these guys went through the real s*&t, they don't need to see it again, and again - it might even upset some of them.

If it doesn't upset some of them, then Platoon is a good one, and so is Apocalypse Now.

Saving Private Ryan is a good one. Try to find some documentaries on World War II. Also, Tora Tora Tora.
